5 Reasons We’re Excited About Paris Design Week

Beginning next week, Paris will be abuzz with what’s new and next in design.

Design takes center stage in Paris next week, when luxury textiles show Paris Déco Off, January 21–25, and interiors show Maison et Objet, January 22–26, present 2016’s industry trends, developments and must-haves. 1. Champagne Breakfast
Join panelists Elizabeth Ralls, Editor-in-Chief of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Toma Clark Haines of The Antiques Diva & Co, Rocky LaFleur of Kneedler Fauchère, and Chuck Chewning, Director of Interior Design at RUBELLI for breakfast and a discussion on How French Culture, Art and Design has Influenced the Americas. 2. Tissus Inspirés
Pierre Frey unveils its inaugural tribute exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. The 80-year retrospective, Tissus Inspirés, runs through May 15 and will showcase about 200 pieces of fabric and wallpaper across the Musée’s six Study Gallery rooms, as well as specially curated works by contemporary artists. pierrefrey.com

3. American Party in Paris
A can’t-miss evening bringing together the best in design, the third annual American Party in Paris will be hosted by 13 of the most prestigious showrooms in the country—including Ainsworth-Noah, Jim Thompson and Jerry Pair, among others—on January 22 at the historic Hôtel de Ville. RSVP here.

4. Living With Antiques in Modern Times
Join panelists “The Antiques Diva,” Toma Clark Haines and RubyLUX’s Cathy Whitlock, with moderator Jake Baer from Newel Antiques, for a discussion on “Living With Antiques in Modern Times,” which will focus on timeless investment pieces, buying trends and other industry insights.
