Brookwood Hills Home Tour // 10 Degrees South // Los Trompos at the High Museum of Art

April 18 The 45th Atlanta Symphony Associates’ Decorators’ Show House & Gardens, Chateau Soleil, is open for tours. Located minutes from the heart of Buckhead, the 14,000 square-foot French-style estate was designed by architect William T. Baker and re-imagined by Atlanta-area designers. April 18 The Brookwood Hills Friends welcome back the 2015 Brookwood Hills Home Tour, a biennial tour benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The south Buckhead neighborhood, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is known for its unique architecture and community feel. Through April 23 Neiman Marcus hosts local abstract painter Hutton Snelling for a solo show at its Atlanta location. A self-taught artist, Snelling began painting at a young age, and her works intertwine both color and movement in a tranquil way. Her collection will be on display through April 23, and guests will have the chance to meet Snelling at a champagne reception on April 16 from 6-8 p.m. A portion of the show’s proceeds will benefit the Georgia Epilepsy Foundation. huttonsnellings.com

April 24 Visit the Woodruff Arts Center’s Carroll Slater Sifly Piazza to check out Los Trompos (“The Spinning Tops”), the High Museum of Art’s new site-specific interactive design installation created by contemporary Mexican designers Ignacio Cadena and Héctor Esrawe. Featuring more than 40 large-scale, three-dimensional spinning tops in a range of colors and shapes, Los Trompos’ purpose is to engage visitors and activate the outside space it resides in. Through 11/29. high.org

April 24 Ponce City Market hosts acclaimed artist Nick Cave for Up Right Atlanta, a groundbreaking two-part performance presented by Flux Projects. The show, which features choreography by Spelman College’s T. Lang, calls for its lead characters to take control of their destinies and face obstacles that stand in the way of selfhood. 4/24–4/26. fluxprojects.org

April 27 Catch a glimpse into the minds of industry tastemakers and innovators at ADAC’s annual series, Design ADAC. The event will explore luxury design and products through keynote speakers including Hunt Slonem, Kathryn M. Ireland and Jay Jeffers, showroom receptions, tours, book signings and more. All month 10 Degrees South is bringing new excitement to Mondays. Starting just in time for summer, guests can enjoy a new $35 prix-fixe menu and half-priced bottles of South African wine every Monday night. The dinner menu features dishes like peri-peri chicken spring rolls, Cape Kingklip (grilled white fish with lemon butter sauce), and Di’s delight (fruit sponge cake), while the wine menu, hand-selected by owner Justin Anthony, features South African wines including Boschendal and Chocolate Block. 10degreessouth.com

All month The St. Regis Atlanta is celebrating the season with its Spring Tea, held on Fridays and Saturdays from 2:30-4:30 p.m. The traditional afternoon tea, presented by the St. Regis butlers at the Astor Court tearoom, features all the classics such as petite sandwiches, fresh scones, pastries and petit fours.
