Burton Showhouse

2026 Burton Showhouse
June 4–14, 2026

Presented by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles

Set on 82 acres within the Burton community, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles’ third annual Burton Showhouse is a new 4,284-square-foot home capturing views of the North Georgia Mountains, Chattahoochee National Forest, and glimmering Lake Burton. The showhouse brings together a notable team—developer PACE LYNCH, town planner and designer LEW OLIVER, builder MCKINNEY BUILDERS, landscape and garden designer P. ALLEN SMITH, and interior specifications designer DUFFY SCOTT INTERIORS—to create a home that feels both globally inspired yet rooted in its surroundings.

The four bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom residence, complete with a detached garage and guest house, draws architectural influences from temples in Nepal and Tibet, fusing together East and South Asian elements with midcentury modern sensibilities that wow upon arrival. The fusion is grounded by distinctly Southern materials, such as pine siding, stone sills and column bases, and wood roof shingles. An oversize front door with vertical reeded paneling sets a warm, inviting tone from the moment of arrival.

Inside, the interiors lean into an organic, textural aesthetic. Wood installations, Moderne-inspired fixtures, moody palettes, and expressive marble surfaces create depth and contrast throughout. In the foyer, a floating stair is dramatized by a 30-foot beaded cascade by artist Kristin Genet, extending across three floors and anchoring the home with movement and artistry. The kitchen pairs high-performance appliances from Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove with a bold mix of metals and materials, most notably on the expansive island and adjoining bar. Nearby, the primary suite offers a quieter moment of retreat, its scale and simplicity echoing a Japanese tea house. Soaring ceilings and custom reeded paneling enhance the sense of calm, while an oversize oculus window above the tub in the primary bathroom brings the surrounding landscape into focus.

Spaces for gathering are woven throughout the home. A lower-level recreation room and bar create a relaxed entertaining hub, while a third-floor flex space—anchored by circular built-in seating, is a playful nod to 1970s modernism. Three covered porches extend living outdoors, framing panoramic views of the mountains, forest, and lake beyond.

Connected by paths lined with native flora, the detached garage and ADU function as a private retreat of their own. A built-in daybed and slatted ceiling add architectural interest, while black onyx plumbing fixtures, mixed-metal hardware, and dramatic quartz surfaces echo the material richness of the main house. Throughout both structures, interior and architectural details draw from the surroundings, reinforcing a seamless connection between the home and its setting.
