Community Connection

The Interlock is primed to be the Westside’s newest mixed-use development, at the corner of Howell Mill and 14th Street. “Our project really makes the community more of a community. It makes it more livable and walkable,” says Jeff Garrison, partner with developer S.J. Collins Enterprises. The 9-acre community will feature the Bellyard, a 161-room boutique hotel; Plateau West, 41 townhomes by Monte Hewett Homes; Solis’ 349 luxury apartments; as well as high-tech offices that will be home to WeWork, an incubator by Georgia Technology Ventures and more. Retail, entertainment and culinary offerings will be a draw. Slater Hospitality will open a venue this summer with a 12,000-square-foot restaurant, infinity-edge pool and outdoor firepits on the 1-acre rooftop. Planned spirits outposts DrawBar, Pour Taproom and Holiday Bar will capitalize on the open-container license to allow guests to imbibe while walking around. “It’s an incredible place,” says Garrison. “It’s all about creating that energy to complete the West Midtown market and make it a place where people never want to leave.”
