Italian Affair

From the team behind two of Atlanta’s hottest Italian restaurants, wine bar STORICO VINO brings Venetian verve to Buckhead Village

Combine traditional italian wines and savory pairings with a playful yet sophisticated ambiance and you have Storico Vino, the hot new wine bar that hit Buckhead Village in March.

Located in the former Corso Coffee space, the wine bar—led by Michael Patrick, Pietro Gianni and Stephen Peterson, the energetic team behind Atlanta’s beloved Storico Fresco and Forza Storico—started as a virtual shop before opening the doors to its first brick-and-mortar location. With rich red accents, eclectic artwork and a gracious outdoor patio, Storico Vino emulates a laid-back style that’s equal parts suave and stylish. “The design is very much about rules without rules,” says Gianni. “It’s unexpected. There is something at its base that is sexy in nature.”

Indeed, when dining at Storico Vino, one is easily transformed into their most posh personality. A selection of spirits are also available, and Iocally sourced delights include shareable small plates and pasta dishes. Or, skip the snacks altogether and cheers with something from the extensive list of Italian wines by the bottle or by the glass. Regardless of the selection, Storico Vino encourages visitors to take a moment to relax and do as the Italians do.

Patrick says, “We hope guests leave Storico Vino with a feeling of having spent two hours in Venice, absorbing the music and the amazing vibes, surrounded by people who want to take a break from everyday life and be projected into ‘La Dolce Vita.’”
