Worldly Charm

Inspired by the Silk Road, an ancient trade route linking Asia and Europe, Nina Nash and Jared Hughes of Mathews Furniture + Design took a global approach to their moody vignette. Enveloping the space like a tent is Schumacher’s inky Nuba fabric; its cocoon-like effect is complemented by a velvet daybed and antique items from Americasmart’s new Antiques floor, such as a round Biedermeier table and a gold cobra staff that was cleverly converted into an lamp. Centering the space is a striking image of a Nepalese shaman by photographer Hunter Armistead.

Artful Allure

Envisioning an elegant setting for a dinner party, Steve McKenzie of Steve McKenzie’s channeled fearless glamour, wrapping the walls in a graphic wallpaper, a double-scale of a pattern from his own textile collection. Opting for a black, white and gold scheme, McKenzie layered gilded pieces, such as Currey & Company lighting, with contemporary ones like the Lee Industries banquette (upholstered in a black polished linen with antique brass nailhead trim) situated in the corner wall to open up the space.

En Plein Air

It’s only fitting that Huff Harrington Home and Huff Harrington Fine Art proprietors Meg Harrington and Ann Huff, self-professed Francophiles, infused their vignette with the same air of Parisian romance found in their retail concepts. Inspired by French orangeries, outdoor-inspired structures similar to greenhouses, the duo covered an entire wall in a rose-leaf lattice screen, continuing this botanical theme with a leaf-shaped floor lamp from Global Views. Antique details, such as a geometric settee from Jamie Young and dipped gold books from E. Lawrence, Ltd., mingle with modern artwork sourced through Wendover Art Group and a sleek cocktail table from Phillips Collection.

Power of Pink

Holding true to their penchant for bold design, Paige Schnell, Beth Nash and Anna Kay Porch of Tracery Interiors created a striking black-and-white backdrop with Romo’s Orden wallpaper. Pops of rich raspberry—in the form of a pigmented pink ottoman, a pair of Lee Industries chairs and pillows from Cyan Design—balance the graphic effect. Bold artwork from Leftbank Art and a striped rug by Kate Spade New York for Jaipur Living play off a pair of gold lamps by Barbara Cosgrove and a gold-leaf mirror from Currey & Company.

Fabulously Functional

Looking to create a space often requested by clients—a multipurpose room that could serve as an office, a sitting nook or spare bedroom—Susan Victor and John Ishmael of Nandina Home & Design aimed to blend style with real-life function. To that end, versatile pieces such as a Lee Industries daybed, a blue velvet cube from Jamie Dietrich Designs and a Gabby desk lend themselves to both productive workdays and restful evenings. Decorative horns from Regina Andrew, Currey & Company lanterns and a window-like mirror add comfort while lending the vignette a masculine, minimal tone.

Beauty in Bloom

Elegant meets organic in this garden-inspired vignette designed by Rozanne Jackson and the team behind Nashville-based The Iron Gate. A striking, large-scale floral wallpaper by Ashley Woodson Bailey sets the romantic tone, which is echoed by pieces such as a Jamie Dietrich Designs chair in Mongolian lamb, a dripping chandelier from Eloquence and and a rose-hued rug by Eliko. A geometric mirrored cocktail table from Jamie Young reflects the rosy drama, while buckskin ottomans add fashionable flair.
