Introducing the 2025 Home for the Holidays Showhouse
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
This year’s Home for the Holidays Showhouse is a masterful blend of contemporary styling and historically inspired charm. Designed by architect Linda MacArthur and built by Livingston Fine Homes, the house combines a modern curb appeal with a crisp, clean exterior, subtly embellished with light brick cladding and selectively placed siding.
In contrast to its linear exterior, the home’s interior features—selected by specifications designer Valerie Garrett—are a shapelier mix of architectural details and finishes. The foyer’s striking concave arched ceiling is offset by a diamond-pattern wood floor. Other well-formed details in the home include the stair railing’s elliptical balusters and the curved custom trim used throughout. The main level’s French oak flooring, in an unexpected rich finish, further distinguishes this home. The cabinetry designers are Morgan Creek, Dove Studio, R. Raffine Design Studio through MRitalia.
The home’s outdoor environment, which was designed by Charlie Sears of Land Plus Associates, makes the most of its modest size. At the back of the house, a charming covered porch, which serves as an extension of the family room, offers shelter among the manicured landscape. Other outdoor draws include a pool and an outdoor fireplace, with a terrace-level wellness retreat, theater room, and wine bar providing auxiliary relaxation.
