Sept 4 Join Michael Habachy of Habachy Designs Inc. as he leads a tour through the ADAC showrooms where he finds inspiration and products for residential and commercial projects. The tour, featuring showrooms including Jerry Pair, Ann Sacks, Jim Thompson, R. Sept. 5-30 Muse & Co. Fine Art‘s “Modern Naive” exhibit introduces contemporary artist Barbara Olsen, known for her shimmering colors and storytelling skills. The show, running through September 30, will also feature new works from gallery artist Ron Irwin. musecofineart.com

Sept 6-28 The 2014 Serenbe Designer Showhouse, presented by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, opens for tours Saturday, September 6. Nestled in the heart of Serenbe’s newest real estate collection, Swann Ridge, the English-inspired cottage, accessed via footbridge, will feature spaces created by 12 Atlanta-based designers. Sept. 13 Zoo Atlanta’s creative cocktail bash, Jazzoo, is returning for its sixth year. With Zoo Atlanta as the backdrop, guests will enjoy fare from 30 of Atlanta’s best restaurants, open bars and live entertainment from four stages. Vip tickets $175; General tickets $100. jazzooatlanta.org

Sept. 13-14 Atlanta helps kick off the 2nd annual James Beard Foundation’s Taste America with a two-day affair featuring a benefit dinner, culinary demos, book signings and tastings at Sur la Table.
