Top Kitchen, Bath, Bar & Outdoor Living Trends Revealed

Discover what's next in luxury home design with an exclusive look at AH&L's 2025 Atelier

Showstopper

In a kitchen by Morgan Creek, a deep burgundy color palette establishes a bold and elegant tone while staying on the front edge of today’s trends. “We started with two main elements: the Rosa Levanto stone and the leather panels,” says Ryan DeCesaro, the company’s president. “Both give an elevated and luxurious look.”

Marble Movement

Fluted stone on the front of the sink adds subtle dimension. “We were inspired by the shape of a crystal glass and mimicked that detail in the apron front itself,” says DeCesaro.

Textured Touch

Burgundy leather panels on the perimeter cabinetry are coupled with unlacquered brass hardware for added refinement. On the island, a matte burgundy finish draws out the stone’s red hues.

On Edge

Infusing a touch of whimsy, the countertop’s tulip edge proves little details can have a big impact. To soften the kitchen’s dramatic hues, the cabinetry corners feature a stained white oak radius detail—the curve mirrored in the stone from Stone Showcase, fabricated by A Touch of Stone, Inc.

Bring the Heat

Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove’s gas rangetop makes spending time in the kitchen worthwhile. Crafted from maple, an integrated cutting board attachment cuts down on prep time with speedy transfers after slicing and dicing. Quality cast-iron grates allow for easy movement of pots and pans while cooking.

Stay Cool

With a fully customizable exterior, Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove’s undercounter wine storage keeps bottles party-ready at ideal and adjustable temperatures. Drawers extend for easy access to hunt down the perfect bottle of wine.

Tucked Away

Kitchen drawer inserts by Rev-A-Shelf remind that there’s more than what meets the eye. Custom dividers offer a home for any utensil, and a built-in knife block allows for a safe and organized method for storing knives. Nearby, plates tuck away with ease thanks to deep drawers and metal dividers. Fumbling around in the morning for coffee is a thing of the past—coffee pods are easily visible and slide seamlessly into custom slots.

ENTERTAINING NEEDS

Outdoor Oasis

The outdoor kitchen showcases Dove Studio Kitchen & Bath’s new line of outdoor cabinetry, topped with quartzite countertops from MSI and an array of integrated appliances from Ferguson. “When designing the outdoor kitchen, we wanted to keep entertaining and functionality top of mind,” says Lucy Castell of Dove Studio Kitchen & Bath.

On that note

The listening nook features reeded white oak cabinetry and dedicated spots for albums, stereo equipment, and artwork. “This space was inspired by an article I read in The Wall Street Journal about big rooms turning into audio rooms,” says Dove Studio Kitchen & Bath owner and president Paul Castell.

Bar Bliss

The bar’s multifunctional design allows homeowners to showcase glassware and artwork. “We went with a classic design: walnut upper cabinets, glass-front shelves, and navy blue bases,” says Lucy Castell. In collaboration with Richelieu, integrated lighting with motion sensors in the drawers are an additional touch of luxury.

BATHROOM BEAUTY

Mirror, Mirror

The chic bathroom scene by Raffiné Design Studio features fluted vanities with a metallic finish. “The inspiration came from my desire to blend modern style with the craftsmanship of Italian cabinets,” says interior designer Rasha Francis, president of Raffiné Design Studio and MR Italia.

Pattern Perfect

Handmade glass bowls give the pair of sinks a feminine touch, and a shapely backsplash from MSI adds depth. “I wanted to show that any room in the home can be made custom and high-end,” says Francis.

Daring Detail

A wood covering with integrated lights adds surprise to the sophisticated bathroom, while a sleek glass closet doubles as a privacy partition and display for clothes, jewelry, and shoes.

In Color

From Hydro Systems, a sunny bathtub is the perfect morning wake-up or after-work reviver. “Everything is custom, from the shape to the colors to the paint,” says Francis of the tub. A simple cast-iron faucet is offset by a large-scale art piece made with Venetian glass by artist Abier Alkhour.

FESTIVE FOYER

Summer Style

Founder of BIRD Interiors Sarah Oldaker designed the welcoming Atelier foyer. “The inspiration came from bringing the outside in,” she says. “We wanted it to be a fun summer space.” Upon entering, an intimate breakfast nook shines bright with indoor-outdoor durable materials.

Charming Corner

With various seating arrangements, the entry’s furnishings take on multiple uses. “I love taking small spaces and creating a multi-flexible plan for them,” says Oldaker. “The console can be a little perch, a place to make drinks, a desk—whatever one can dream.”

Artful flair

Towering turf walls from The European Company display artwork from local artists, available through BIRD Interiors’ storefront. Fringe ottomans from Made Goods add a fun flair, and a Parviz rug is the finishing touch that ties it all together.

What’s New

Dueling temperatures beware. Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove offers an inventive cabinetry solution: an integrated wine cooler, coffee maker, and refrigerator side by side.
