Chic Cabinetry
Rustic white oak cabinetry with a natural finish establishes a relaxed and refined tone in the kitchen by Morgan Creek. “The idea is to have the material speak for itself with as few embellishments as possible,” says Ryan DeCesaro, the company’s president. Built-in shelves transform the kitchen with a museum-quality display, drawing eyes upward to take in the bigger picture.
Natural Beauty
Infusing a sense of elegance and surprise, the Cosmic Lava quartzite by Stone Showcase, fabricated by A Touch of Stone, Inc., offers a moody demeanor ideal for cabins, lake houses, or any home looking for a dose of fun. With dark rust colors, layers of veining, and dots of crystallization, the quartzite adds a dramatic edge to the kitchen.
Cooking Essentials
Steel appliances from Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove—including a steam oven and induction cooktop—are sleek accoutrements of the kitchen.
Brilliant & Bright
Sconces through PDI feature three illumination settings that cast glows ranging from warm to cool.
Continuing the impressive use of space and storage throughout, DeCesaro concealed a pull-out table above the lower cabinetry. Gliding with ease, this unique feature is the perfect spot to pull up stools for a casual meal at home or quick drinks with friends.
Beauty meets function in this integrated sink. To add to the ease of preparing meals, overhanging lips are a track for sliding accessories like a cutting board or colander. The deep sink is fashioned in the same quartzite as the counters for a seamless look.
The induction cooktop by Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove has solved the issue of accidental cooking injuries. Requiring exclusively magnetic cookware, the cooktop not only boils water at a faster rate, but will not burn hands or fallen food onto the surface—making it a breeze to clean.
Hidden wonders by Rev-A-Shelf lie within each kitchen drawer. Adjacent to the stove top, a lazy susan pulls out for easy access to spices and other cooking ingredients without the hassle of getting on your hands and knees to sort through unorganized clutter. Peg drawers make stacking dishes a breeze, while a neighboring pull-out drawer is an inconspicuous spot for cookie jars and other guilty pleasures. And knife blocks cluttering counters are a thing of the past. Evading the dangers of throwing loose knives haphazardly in a drawer, the integrated pull-out knife block allows cutlery to be inserted safely and kept upright, leaving only the handles exposed.

BATHROOM BLISS
“My goal is to keep the craftsmanship and legacy of Italy alive, while adding a tasteful modern touch.” —Rasha Francis
The depth of the freestanding tub from HydroSystems through PDI allows for ultimate relaxation with deep soaking capabilities. The high edges of the tub double as a blissful headrest after a long day.
Designed by MR Italia, fine Italian cabinetry brims with delicate details. A diamond pattern brings dimension to both the stacked cabinets and vanity, while also coordinating with the sink. A Brizo faucet from PDI adds a touch of warmth, brightening the space.
Texture Trend
The posh bathroom scene by MR Italia features Italian marble by Ciot, fabricated by A Touch of Stone, Inc., with taupe hues—calling to nearby cabinetry—and dark veining. “Even if you just have a simple slab of stone, you can make it special with texture and fluting,” says designer Rasha Francis.

OUTDOOR OASIS
Center Stage
Designed by Live Oak Manors, the enviable backyard escape brings the functions of an indoor kitchen and bar outside, reminding us to soak up the temperate September weather before it’s gone. “This space eliminates the need to run back inside while hosting, allowing people to focus on their time spent together,” says Garon Thelen of Live Oak Manors. The beverage and cooking center from Paradise Grills is complete with a grill, griddle station, wine cooler, and trash compactor, and Turkish Pacific Grey Sandblasted Marble pavers and synthetic turf from The European Company are the finishing touches needed to complete the outdoor oasis ripe for entertaining.
Integrated in-ground speakers from GHT allow for jam sessions without the eye sore. With stakes, insert the speakers directly into the earth without the fear of sound distortion. Hide the speakers amongst shrubbery for ultimate secrecy.
With a sleek design, the stainless steel grill is as stylish as it is durable thanks to an infrared back burner, insulated dual-layer hood, and removable warming rack. A 10-in-1 hybrid appliance, the grill’s capabilities include pizza conversion, fryer and steamer conversion, rotisserie conversion, and more.
Stainless steel-and-glass doors open up to reveal a chilled rack with the capacity to hold up to 24 bottles of wine. With independent dual temperature displays and interior touchpad light controls, the high-tech wine cooler feels like the future of outdoor entertaining.
“We wanted to give people an idea of what is possible for outdoor living.” —Garon Thelon
