THROUGH JUNE 2 | Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles’ fourth annual Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens comes to a close this month, showcasing the work of some of the region’s brightest design talents. Built by Southern Gentry Homes and designed by architecture firm Logan Design Group, the historic 14-acre site was formerly used as hunting grounds and a weekend retreat by Atlanta’s influential Joseph Madison High family. southeasternshowhouse.com.
JUNE 1 | Doggies on the Catwalk returns for its 12th yea this month. Held in the penthouse office suite of founder Greenberg Traurig, the event features a runway lineup that includes adorable pups, local personalities and luxury brands from SAKS Fifth Avenue. Tickets are available between $95 to $250 and can be purchased at doggiesonthecatwalk.org.
JUNE 8 | Sample bites and drinks from more that 30 of the city’s best restaurants at the fourth annual Food That Rocks, held on the Green at City Springs. The evening will also feature beer, wine, cocktails and live entertainment. A portion of proceeds will benefit local charities such as the Community Assistance Center, Second Helpings Atlanta and Ian’s Friends Foundation. foodthatrocks.org
JUNE 12 | Join Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles for our eighth annual Reader Day at ADAC, when Michael Ladisic, Brandon Ingram, Mallory Mathison Glenn, Matthew Quinn and Mary-Kathryn Timoney will discuss everything from the latest technology to nuts-and-bolts design and return on investment. ADAC showrooms German Kitchen Center, Renaissance Tile & Bath and Design Galleria Kitchen and Bath Studio will host the day. JUNE 29–SEPTEMBER 29 | The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) breaks down the construction and design of guitars—and the instrument’s role in shaping the careers of legendary musicians—with its latest exhibition, Wire & Wood: Designing Iconic Guitars. Curated and designed by W. Todd Vaught, the exhibition also showcases a selection of guitars that were played by legendary musicians such as Jack White, Bo Diddley, James Hetfield, St. Vincent and more. museumofdesign.org
