The Mansion

The 42-story, limestone- and cast stone-clad Mansion on Peachtree rises 580 feet above Buckhead“s signature street. The 127-room hotel is joined by 42 residences that occupy the top floors of the building, as well as three garden villas. The first residents will begin arriving in September.

Luigi Romaniello is the hotel“s managing director and a Rosewood alum. He previously worked at the company“s flagship property, The Mansion on Turtle Creek, in Dallas.

The hotel“s floral creations are designed by Robert Long.

The handcrafted sign by local metalsmith Charles Calhoun leads guests to 29 Spa, the latest venture by Atlanta native Lydia Mondavi. The 15,000-square-foot facility includes 14 treatment rooms and an array of exclusive services for guests and residents.

Black-and-white marble floors are reminiscent of The Carlyle in New York, one of the other properties within the Rosewood portfolio of hotels.

Wilson & Associates designed the hotel“s interiors, which feature luxurious materials, finishes and custom-designed furniture and accessories.

Each hotel guest receives three complimentary “silver tray” services a day from the hotel“s butler service, which include continental breakfast, a mid-day snack and hors d’�?�?uvres with an evening cordial.

Guest room furnishings include Macassar ebony furniture with polished chrome and mirror detailing.

With expansive 9“6” ceiling heights, guest rooms at The Mansion on Peachtree feature furnishings with a high level of detail, including lush velvet and satin fabrics. Bathrooms feature marble-top vanities, dual washbasins, a deep-soak tub, walk-in marble shower and wall-mounted LCD TV.

The hotel“s front lobby features a massive canvas by local artist Tom Swanston.

Neo, the hotel“s restaurant, features contemporary Italian-inspired cuisine served amid Art Deco-inspired interiors overlooking a terraced English garden. The restaurant will be joined this fall by Craft, the New York restaurant by award-winning chef Tom Colicchio.

The Bar features a variety of places for settling in for a drink, including semi-private niches ideal for intimate conversation.

Forget about chocolate mints on the pillow at turndown. At The Mansion, sweet dreams are preceded by warm chocolate fondue“not too bitter, not too sweet“accompanied by apricots and biscotti for dipping.

The Bar“s signature cocktail is the Neopolitan, although guests can talk to the resident “mixologist” about custom concoctions. And, of course, a bartender is always at the ready to serve up a favorite libation.

A cozy seating area seems more reminiscent of a private home than that of a hotel.

Since opening in May, The Mansion on Peachtree, a Rosewood Hotel & Residence, has fast become a local landmark. With its signature octagon shape and limestone-clad spire rising 42 stories above Buckhead, the building has been a lure to locals and out-of-towners alike.
