Designer Susan Ferrier balanced the asymmetry of the dining room’s off-center fireplace with a pair of custom globe pendants from Jamb.

In the dining room, the brass-and-crystal palm chandelier from Ainsworth-Noah makes a dramatic statement against existing high-gloss green walls. The rug is from Moattar and the dining table is Century through Mathews Furniture + Design.

Farrell turned to Montano Painting for the decorative glazed pink wall color in the dining room, which showcases many family heirlooms, including the dining table and chandelier. She coated the chairs in Benjamin Moore’s Brandy Cream to add additional lightness.

Wrapping the dining room, painterly paper by British brand Lewis & Wood is based on 18th-century chintzes and adds a cozy sensibility to the entertaining space. A Visual Comfort & Co. ceiling fixture is dressed in petite shades.
