The 43rd-annual Atlanta Symphony Associates’ Decorators’ Show House & Gardens featured a dream team of design talents at a house that embodies today’s new elegance.


Front Lawn & Gardens  //  Yardera Landscape Inc.

Informed by the historic use of boxwoods, roses and ground covers at French châteaus, the manicured front lawn and gardens brandish stately botanical selections.


Grand Foyer  //  Musso Design Group

First impressions are everything in the foyer, where a Roman shade made from a unique Jim Thompson malachite fabric mingles with photography by David Leventi and a stylized klismos chair.


East Grand Hall  //  Shon Parker Design

Accented by supple leather, an heirloom display table showcases treasures including abstract art by Deanna Jaugstetter, a painted wood urn lamp and an antique French clock-cum-sculpture.


Breakfast Room  //  Boxwoods Gardens & Gifts

This comfortable dining nook includes a wood table with antique mirror inlay, sculptural linen-and-burlap dining chairs and a mesmerizing encaustic by David Howland.


Living Room  //  Patricia McLean Interiors Inc.

This vast room is unified by its numerous intimate seating groups. Here, towering crystal chandeliers illuminate custom benches, precious antiques, tight-back arm chairs and Scalamandré fabrics.


Dining Room  //  Robert Brown Interior Design

This rich and ravishing dining room embodies genteel appeal, thanks to custom leather dining chairs, an antelope rug from Stark and Brown’s own furnishings for MacRae and Holland & Company.


Upstairs Hall  //  Traci Rhoads Interiors

A most sophisticated gathering spot, this space centers around a pretty Alan Knight settee, blue-and-white porcelains, live citrus trees and original art by Greg Ragland.


Library  //  C. Weaks Interiors Inc.

With ample sitting spots for guests to gather, this room takes its cues from the stained glass view, those hues appearing everywhere from the regal rug to paintings from Pryor Fine Art.


Butler’s Pantry  //  Kellie Griffin Interiors Inc.

An Old-World effect greets guests straightaway—with gilt accents, a charming grandfather clock from Gryphon Antiques and blue-and-white wall coverings and fabrics by Cole & Son and Brunschwig & Fils.


Sitting Room  //  Peace Design

Imagine receiving company in this sophisticated spot, showcasing exclusive Bruno Triplet fabrics from R Hughes, Robuck & Co. Antiques, Venetian plaster and mohair-wrapped upholstery.


Family Stairway  //  The Mercantile

This sophisticated ascent is defined by its original landscape wall covering by local Bethany Travis, a quaint plaster birdhouse from Ainsworth-Noah & Associates and a Baccarat chandelier with amethyst accents.


Exterior  //  Kolo Collection

Bringing a Euro-chic update to the home’s traditional terrace are contemporary outdoor furnishings featuring sleek silhouettes. bottom right The surrounding boxwood gardens are by Ed Castro Landscape.


Upstairs Back Hall  //  Redefined Home Boutique

This hall’s moody appearance harks back to eras past, with an antique oil portrait and scads of tattered tomes, stacked elegantly and unassumingly against a stormy backdrop.


Lounge  //  Stanton Home Furnishings

Inspired by a turn-of-the century English estate, this room’s black-green walls are tempered by a series of framed fan coral and surprising textures and finishes.


Kitchen  //  Karpaty Cabinets Inc.

This kitchen boasts custom barstools, countertops and a coordinating range hood, plus cut-crystal fixtures from London’s Lee Broom, which dazzle against the cabinets’ delicate lime-wash finish.


Laundry  //  Anna Abrams Design

Clarence House’s “Tibet” fabric invokes Chinoiserie elegance—complemented by red walls, a Tritter Feefer Shanghai console, foo dog figurines and blue-and-white porcelains.


Office  //  Courtney Giles Interiors

In this studious space, a bench by Atlanta artisan Jason A. Smith mingles with bobbin chairs, Ferrick Mason fabric curtains and bird prints from the designer’s own collection.

This space oozes with unrestrained opulence, seen in hand-brushed walls, custom Bradley furnishings and high-impact accessories, including several by Tony Duquette.


Keeping Room  //  Harmonious Living by Tish Mills, LLC

Featuring fine antiques and thoughtful custom furnishings, this space was inspired by a young concert master—hence the rhythm inherent to every piece.


Terrace Level Bonus Room  //  IKEA

Proving that great style can be achieved on a budget, Atlanta’s IKEA team combined the company’s classic Karlstad sectional with its PS Maskros pendant and tons of colorful toss pillows.


Family Retreat  //  Decorated Designs

This cozy gathering spot is defined by its roomy private-label sectional, joined by a luxurious tufted ottoman, ultra-reflective Bernhardt cocktail table and mirrored obelisks to match.


Master Bath  //   J. Hirsch Interior Design

In this tranquil sanctuary, an oval tub is framed by blush-toned Schumacher linens, original art from DK Gallery and a ceramic table in a shimmering charcoal finish.

Drawing upon the sophisticated verve of the adjoining master, this custom closet bears richly colored walls, customized compartments and glass-paned doors to expand the look.

This stylish in-house apartment was composed from a host of non-toxic pieces, including a custom pagoda headboard, alabaster table lamps and a lacquered nightstand.

This intimate retreat features elegant furnishings sourced almost exclusively from Holland & Company, accented by Bungalow Classic accessories and fine art from Spalding Nix.

This masculine washroom features a dimensional vinyl wallpaper in oxblood, which sets off a Belgian oak mirror, rustic sink chest from Cole & Co. and Jacobean-inspired faucets.

A collaboration with Fernandez & True Interiors, this state-of-the-art home cinema includes a dramatic ceiling that conjures a starry night sky. Luxurious curtain panels cancel extraneous sound, and custom seating offers the ultimate in comfort for viewing.


Wine Room  //  The Consulting House Inc.

This chic storage space is a source of both aesthetic and oenophilic delights. Parquet flooring contributes elegance, while a geometric motif adds interest to the custom, built-in cabinets.


Cigar Lounge  //  Habachy Designs

This sleek and sexy cigar lounge is personalized from floor to ceiling with faux leather walls, custom cube chairs, Baccarat crystal lighting and blue velvet seating.
