Holiday Hurrah
It seems like September has just begun, but we’re almost halfway through the month—and five weeks away from the opening of this year’s Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse. Tickets are available here, and you can meet our impressive lineup of 2015 designers here. Can’t wait until November? Tour the 2014 and 2013 showhouses and keep up with this year’s excitement by following #ATLHolidayHome!
Back to the Books
Thanks to fall’s multitude of new releases, our bookshelves are packed with must-read design tomes, including works by Suzanne Rheinstein, Bunny Williams and Phoebe Howard (who will be signing copies of her book on September 24 at her Galleries of Peachtree Hills store, as well as on December 8 at our Home for the Holidays Showhouse’s Sign, Dine + Design event.
Showroom Chic
We’re smitten with R Hughes’ new ADAC showroom (designed by the venerable Smith Hanes). The showroom’s oak floors, custom casework, white lacquer and antiqued glass and steel serve as a dramatic yet sopisticated backdrop for the retailer’s product selection, which includes Ochre, Jean de Merry, Apparatus, Coup d’Etat and Dmitriy & Co.—as well as a Holland & Sherry shop-within-a-shop carrying Galbraith & Paul, Fromental, Zak + Fox and Coleman.
Off the Wall
Clay McLaurin’s fresh line of wallcoverings dazzles with saturated, painterly pigments and abstract designs. Designed in McLaurin’s Atlanta studio, the motifs are hand-printed with water-based pigments and are available at Ainsworth-Noah.
