Safety in Numbers
Residents view rooftop balconies, pools and luxe lobbies as a major perk in high-rise living. In the age of social distancing, management companies and HOAs have instituted new protocols to keep them safe and open. “The J5 Condominiums’ amenities are one of the reasons people buy homes there,” says PAULINE MILLER, managing director for COMPASS DEVELOPMENT. For now, J5’s outdoor garden and pool are each limited to 10 residents at a time and a full-time crew cleans and sanitizes round-the-clock. Similarly, HANOVER BUCKHEAD VILLAGE luxury apartments have restricted capacities on shared amenities and offer virtual and self-guided tours for prospective residents. While the “current normal” is an adjustment, Miller says residents are responding positively. “People appreciate our safety measures,” she says.
