Atlanta’s Largest Ground-Up Development Makes It’s Splashy Debut

Signia by Hilton Atlanta, Downtown’s largest ground-up hotel development in 40 years, recently made its splashy debut. Built on the repurposed foundation of the Georgia Dome, the property boasts a superb location, connected by a pedestrian walkway to the Georgia World Congress Center and situated next to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena. But the hotel’s generous event space and luxury amenities, such as an entire floor dedicated to wellness, should prove equally appealing to business and leisure travelers alike. “With over 100,000 square feet of meeting space, including Georgia’s largest hotel ballroom, Signia by Hilton Atlanta caters extensively to corporate events, multiday celebrations, and weddings and parties,” says hotel general manager Teri Agosta. “Event organizers will also have access to more than 30,000 square feet of outdoor space.” Agosta also notes that the hotel has eight food and beverage options, including signature restaurant Capolinea, which serves Italian and contemporary American cuisine.

Currently the tallest building on the Westside, the 42-story hotel also stands out for its bold contemporary design. Enveloped in glass, the building is notable for its soaring open-concept lobby as well as the panoramic views of the Downtown skyline that can be seen from within each guest room, some which directly overlook Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
