Hartsfield-Jackson’s Luxury New Upgrade

American Express recently debuted The Centurion Lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

American Express recently debuted The Centurion Lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, giving eligible cardholders a luxe retreat inside the airport. Located in Concourse E, the nearly 26,000-square-foot lounge is the largest Centurion Lounge to date, a size which is tied to passenger traffic. “We’re very intentional about the growth and expansion of our Centurion Lounge network. As the world’s busiest airport and one that our card members frequently travel through, the Atlanta airport was a natural fit for our largest Centurion Lounge,” says Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel.

Inspired by Atlanta’s reputation as “the city in the forest,” the lounge’s main seating area features a 50-year-old olive tree and a custom light sculpture reminiscent of a tree canopy. It also boasts multiple outdoor terraces, a first for the Centurion Lounge network. Other perks include modern soul food offerings from local chef Deborah VanTrece, a bespoke whiskey bar known as The Reserve by American Express, and private phone booths and workspaces, a mix which Hendley explains is designed to meet travelers’ business and relaxation requirements. “The Centurion Lounge at the Atlanta airport caters to all different travelers. We are always innovating and expanding our offerings to meet their needs.”
